The HSE issued new guidelines with regard to commissioning asbestos surveys, HSG264 Asbestos: the survey guide, earlier this year. This guidance also contained further and more stringent recommendations around the management of asbestos in buildings and property portfolios that have left some duty holders unsure of whether they are compliant or not.
AMS has been approached by many duty holders who are concerned that their current management surveys, carried out under the old MDHS100 guidance as Type 2 surveys, may not now be sufficient to keep them compliant with HSG264 and they have requested that AMS consultants examine their survey data and their asbestos management plan to advise them on their compliancy.
AMS would like to invite duty holders, whether existing clients or not, to have a free assessment of their asbestos survey data, asbestos management plan and asbestos policy.
