An asbestos management consultancy has come away winners of the Northumberland Business Awards Technology category.
AMS North East, based in Cramlington has developed an asbestos management software system, ASK, that provides clients with the ability to inform maintenance contractors and their own staff to quickly identify or manage any asbestos containing materials in their estate from anywhere that has internet access. The system is designed so that if an emergency repair inany property is needed, the contractor can access the system and immediately ascertain whether the repair can go ahead immediately or that an asbestos containing material may need to be remediated before their staff can perform the repair. This is particularly useful to social housing providers as it means speedier repairs for their tennants and improves their satisfaction scores.
AMS aims to become a recognised force in the health and safety risk management environment by creating solutions that make the working environment a safer place. The company intends to double its turnover in 12 months and create 12 new jobs, both in the North East and from its new offices being opened in Wigan.
